The Crawford Co. General Health District has statewide access to birth certificates for anyone born within the state of Ohio from 1909 to the present. Our office has death certificates from l909 to the present for those individuals that died in Crawford County, excluding Galion City.
Records from 1867 through 1908 are stored at the Crawford Co. Probate Court, phone (419) 562-8891.
You can either stop by our office to obtain a certified copy or you may submit a request for a record by mail if payment is by check or money order. Due to a change in Ohio law, only certified copies of birth/death certificates can be issued. For same day service, come to the office, 1520 Isaac Beal Rd., located at the corner of Beal Avenue & Isaac Beal Rd. on the south side of Bucyrus (just north of the county airport) in the former Baja Marine offices. The cost of a certified copy is $25.00 (cash, check or money order).
